Zest 4 Leisure, a leading supplier of quality timber garden products, were delighted to be able to donate fencing to an award-winning display at this year’s RHS Chatsworth House Flower Show.
Tanya Batkin, of Vergette Gardens, won a silver medal at the prestigious show with her creation, the ‘Moveable Feast Garden’, which featured fencing provided by Zest 4 Leisure.
Tanya's topical garden caught the imagination of many, showing how easy it can be for young couples of the 'generation rent' section of society to grow beautiful ornamentals and tasty edibles at home, reinforcing the notion of it being inspirational, aspirational and attainable.
The transportable modular design proved that this garden can easily be reconfigured to change the space or adapt to a new area, ensuring that the Moveable Feast Garden can be picked up and taken to any new property.
Alwyn Williams, Sales Manager at Zest 4 Leisure, said: “It was a pleasure to be able to help Tanya out with the creation of her Moveable Feast garden by donating the fencing – and for it to win an award really is the icing on the cake!
“Here at Zest 4 Leisure, we pride ourselves on our quality products and it is so good to see that our fencing has contributed towards Tanya’s silver medal – we are all very proud.”
Along with the fencing Zest provided, Tanya’s Moveable Feast also featured key plants from Lubera, Arctic Blackberry ‘Systrar’, Dwarf Rhubarb ‘Lilibarber’ and from Hawkesmill Nurseries, Crocosmia ‘Lucifer’ and Geranium ‘Azure Rush’.
Tanya graduated from Pershore College in 2011 - winning the college's Student of the Year Award. She has since started running her own garden design consultancy, Vergette Gardens Ltd, which can be found on the border of Hereford and Worcester in the fabulous Teme Valley.
Tanya designs gardens in and around the UK as well as internationally.
Speaking of her success, Tanya said: “A big thank you to 'Zest 4 Leisure' for supplying the superb fencing for my 'The Moveable Feast Garden’.
“The San Remo Fencing was perfect for my design, and complemented it exactly. The 'Zest 4 Leisure' team have been tireless in making sure I had all the help I needed with this project and I certainly will be shouting about their products and staff for all to hear!"
In 2012, Tanya was awarded the Peoples’ Choice at Malvern Spring Festival and has also been involved in nursery exhibits for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and RHS Hampton Court Flower Show.
Tanya was the only woman from the UK taking part in the Japanese Gardening World Cup in 2016 and designed a balcony garden for the event.
